Reasonable Care Champion

Associate Level Certification

What is Reasonable Care Champion certification about?

The Champion associate-level credential enables true first responders who know their campus best -- that are on-scene before, during and after community responders -- to obtain training in infrastructure hardening. These ambassadors gain real-world, problem-solving skills and directly interact with their Pillar Manager and the CIMS program to manage risk, and have the opportunity to recommend and apply solutions to the threats their campus faces.

What does the Reasonable Care Champion role involve?

Champions learn to close gaps in campus security and increase community resilience. Champions develop invaluable preparedness training and develop the leadership skills needed to advance civic responsibility for the protection of people, the environment, critical infrastructure, facilities and information.

Who can become a Reasonable Care Champion?

Champions are faculty, staff, students, parents/guardians, as well as individuals, businesses, and associations from the campus’s surrounding community. Champions are empowered stakeholders with a vested interest in a safe future. As ambassadors, Champions, set an example as mentors that honor conduct code, enhance their school’s safety, and its public image. This represents an opportunity to beef up your resume!
